In the IB English Ab Initio course, the "Experiences" theme allows students to explore and discuss various aspects of personal and shared human experiences. This theme encompasses daily life, travel, celebrations, hobbies, and other life events that shape individuals’ perspectives and connections with the world. Here are the key topics within Experiences:
1. Daily Routine
- Focus: Discussing typical daily activities, schedules, and responsibilities.
- Examples: Talking about a school day, weekend routine, work schedule, or how they manage time.
- Ab Initio Application: Students might describe their morning routine, compare their daily lives with others, or talk about how routines vary in different cultures.
2. Leisure Activities and Hobbies
- Focus: Exploring personal interests, pastimes, and recreational activities.
- Examples: Sports, music, reading, gaming, or social activities with friends and family.
- Ab Initio Application: Writing about favorite hobbies, describing recent experiences, or discussing how different cultures view leisure time and recreation.
3. Holidays and Travel
